John: I have 8 of the most beautiful Berger Lahr 34 frame 5 phase
steppers you have ever seen. The problem is the 5 phase drivers.
From time to time some 5 phase drives have shown up on EBAY. If you
can't find them used you will be way ahead to make them into some
form of "Shop art" and buy some standard 2 phase units and lower cost
Gecko's. I know it's frustrating since the motors are high quality
and with the 5 phase configuration (step angle of .72 deg) they run
smoothly with increased torque. I go look at mine from time to time
and pout.
