My project is a a mill/engraver with x, z, and a axes. The a axis is
a rotary table in vertical position, and the parts will be mounted on
a mandrel. It will be a very light duty unit: X - 6" travel, Z - 3"
travel. Tool dia. < .125". Materials will range from plastics to
aluminum and other relatively soft metals. Speed is not the most
important consideration. All motors will have a 23 frame, 80 oz or
so, probably unipolar.
I have looked at several controllers in the low price range, and I am
undecided. I would appreciate hearing from anybody who has
experience with Stepperworld, Stepper3, and other similar
controllers. I would like to keep the cost of the board itself under
$300 if at all possible.
Thank you for your help,
Vic
