cnc option packages

on 2000-05-25 06:25:36 UTC
I just followed the link to the Haas Minimill web page, and while I was
poking around I found this price list for "options" deals:
http://www.haascnc.com/promos/westec/view.html
I know Haas is supposed to be one of the more economical machine tool
manufacturers, but they still charge silly prices for things like memory
(1 meg) and floppy drives - $495 for each! I wonder if commercial CNC
control repair and maintenance rates are still as ridiculous as they
were a few years ago? I've heard of some pretty shameful prices. I
will stick to mthe homebuilt approach for now.
