Use an ohm meter to check for the common wire of the 5. Check between one
wire and each of the rest. You will either find that the resistance between
that wire and any of the others is the same (that means you picked the
common wire first) or you will find that the resistance between your first
pick and one other wire will be half of the resistance of the others. That
will be the common wire.
Bridgeport uses 8 wire steppers and connects 4 of them together and runs
them as a 5 wire stepper using a unipolar driver.
