That's it exactly.
The gears for this device are bought in from in the UK, HPC Gears but SDP or
similar will carry these in the US.
A cheap cordless would also be a good source for for the gear set and it would
just require a way to work around this.

The guy who designed this, Dick Stevens lives close to me and I'm due to visit
him over this weekend sometime, I'll read up on this before I go.
