I am using Sherline's version of EMC. What I do when I need to use the
lathe, or what to not hand crank the lathe is to plug in the X and Y axis of
the control box from the mill to the lathe and either plug in the commands
in MDI, do it in manual mode, or write a short X and Y g-code program.

Last night I was thinking and realized that I do not have anyway of
verifying the spindle location or RPM. This may turn out to be in the too
hard to do category at this time, (I need to do this in the next week) and
purchase the 60 dollar die and 50 dollar die handle.

Thanks

Victor
