Please excuse this Mods but thought an intro was in order.

Right then, done the usual (Read the archive) so here goes on the
background.

Ex-RAF Ground Comms Engineer (Mw HF Stuff), On demob got myself
qualified (HNC) in Computer Aided Engineering and started as Tech Support
at the local collage but finished up Lecturing on Robotics using Workspace
software,
CNC (Bridgeport Mill, Treub Lathe and Licom-APS [now AlphaCAM] progamming
software),
PLC,s (Toshiba and Fanuc), CAD (AutoCAD 6 through to 2000 and IBMCAD) plus
Pneumatics, Hydrolics and Micro-controllers.

Projects compleated for practical classroom demo was a work cell consisting
of a
Conveyer system with automatic parts loading, Overhead (2 axis) Pick and
Place Arm,
Four station Index table with a Test and Measureing (hight, diameter and
weight) station.
These were all constructed from bit and pieces of old printers, Windshield
wiper
mechanisums and motors and electric window motors, with the odd bit of
machineing
and welding in the workshop.

I have been out of the loop now for six years (retired) so my knowledge base
is a bit
out of date but hopefully some of it will still be of use to some of you.

Dave M.
