CNC mill upgrade

Hi,

I acquired an old Bridgeport Series II, Interact 2 machine last month. It is controlled by Heidenhain TNC145 which is a 2.5D controller. All three axes are driven by perm magnet dc servo motors, 3.2 NM stall torque, 145V, pulse amps 32. The machine is in excellent working condition. Any suggestions on the best way to upgrade it to full 3D control.
