You folks may want to check out this website. I bought a machine from K2 and
it is in the process of changing my woodworking life. True it is definately
not $250 price tag but is one heck of a lot closer than anything else I could
find. It is also close to being a turnkey purchase, and is easy to adapt to
varied uses. I bought a machine with a bed of 60'' x24" capacity so
construction took a bit longer. I purchased last january with no cnc knowledge and
figure it has already paid for at least 40% of the purchase price, that includes
the peripherals such as a controller/computer vacuum pump clamp and cad/cam
software. They have also been most helpful in troubleshooting setup and a
couple glitches that cropped. Good luck
