Wallace,
Bobcad version 20 and I love it for general machining. They've tightened up the program and it's very smooth now and literally bug-free. Although, pushing the 3D envelope it starts to run out of gas a bit. Not experienced enough to know wether its actually the software or the operator. I use it everyday, it's worth every penny of what it can be bought for. Spoke with them a few weeks back and they are coming out with a huge upgrade in Jan. according to them. Different name and many new features. I translated this as a huge sales blitz in early 2006 but, we'll see.
Overall, considering price and functionality I'd give it a strong 4 almost 5.

The trouble is that, it takes you 3 months before you find the faults
with each package and that is too much time to waste.
I would like to do a survey of what people are using. Should I get
enough replies, I will tabulate the results and post on the Files Page.
Please reply to kiwiavi(at)xtra.co.nz
Rating 5=Good, 1=Not good
Package used ______________
Ease of use
Are you an expert
Does it do what you want
Major faults found
Approx price paid
Machine it controls 2D 3D Lathe Mill Plasma etc
Thanks Wallace
