Anyone built any EDM power supplies?

Hello all. I'm new to the group, but have been playing around with CNC
stuff for about a year now (made a cnc router and a cnc coil winder).
I would like to delve into an EDM machine as my next project. I have a
fairly good understanding of electronics, but I can't find many
resources on the internet on making your own supply. I found the
"garden of edm" article and was wondering if anyone has actually built
the thing? I also saw ads for a couple of books, but they use RC
relaxation oscillators. I'm sure there's a better way. Anyone have any
experience here? I was thinking of a FET controlled 80V/5A pulse
generator. What kind of voltage and current do I need?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
