Well Fred, we can see that you are really sold on Vector and feel that it's
way of working is the best one. You ask how long it took me to learn
TurboCad. I'm still *learning* it and I've been using it intermitently for
over a year. But I was doing simple stuff right out of the box because it
is very similar/intuitive when compared to other Cad programs I've worked
with. Vector comes at you from someplace else entirely. It is easy enough
to see the rational for it's philosophy and the neat little trim and
attribute features. As you know I am a new user and am well satisfied with
it's capabilities most of which I knew going in. Yes, I did check out
BobCad before I bought Vector, and am happy that I did. While Vector is
probably the fastest way to handle drawings for simple parts that are going
to be cut on a mill/router table/lathe. It is pretty limited if you are
designing more complex structures. Since less than a quarter of my CAD use
is for cutting on those tools only, I'll stay with my TC .. or possibly
Cadopiea if and when they get it stabilized.
