Hi Alan.

I've tried SuSE 6.1 and EMC - The RTL patch worked fine and compiled with zero
errors. EMC on the other hand, kicked up a load of errors including a fatal
compile error. SuSE and RH are not exactly the same Linux beast - slightly
different versions, and SuSE will put an essential library in a different RPM
to RH.
Yast is a very nice install manager - better than the RH - but Yast2 is shiped
with SuSE 6.3 (poss. 6.2) and later - Not to sure whether it will work with
the latest release of EMC. The kernel patches work without trouble, but the
last time I tried to compile EMC for 2.2.13 it had a few problems.

Would suggest you stick with RH and follow Tim Goldstein's instuctions to the
letter - You will end up with a running EMC/Linux box that way.

Regards, Paul.
