Jon,
Spend the ten or twenty bucks and buy the right sized resistors from a
surplus place. Bolt them to a fan cooled heatsink and program the braking
parameters. The resistors made a huge difference in my machine. The
mechanical brake needs constant attention. You need to yank the lever too!! ;)
