A pwm-generator, encoder inputs, serial communications, built in subroutines

Hi..

David Cofer here, from the CheapAss dro group. I got a new toy here
on my desk. It is a moto-board brainstem. Full documentation is at
www.acroname.com

I have mine co-running in visual basic 6.. inside is a
encoder-velocity, encoder pid PWM-encoder straight PWM, IT is just not
a quadrature input, but it also generates the waves for you. Meaning
CNC is fixing to get much cheaper. Using this as a external processor
is what I see coming down the pipe, kinda like a g-rex from gecko but
about 1/3 the price and more features.

I am using it for a straight quadrature encoder input. It works well
for that.

These subroutines are all wrote in C++.. you know just like EMC. I
am learning C++ and it will be a year or more before I can apply this,
but I don't want to wait.

INformation is transferred via packets/ requested or dumped via
command. It took me 40 hours in Visual basic to find a bug in my code.
I'm pretty much done for a bit. I am a electrician-instrumentation
geek and not a real programmer.

Anybody interested in cheap robotics should have thier eyes open.
