Hi Fred,

I had MaxNc servo retrofit, yes the machine requires 2 switch on each axis and guess what they are mechanical switch so the limit is not recognized by MaxNc software the problem is not the board it is the software.

You can try Mach2 with it

Tell me is the board and motors are generating enough torque and speed.

Thanks

Seiman

It seems as though the cheap-ass MaxNc board I have has only one input
for the Home Switches, and the MaxNc software cycles thru the axes one
at a time until the switch, apparently any switch, is tripped, then
backs off. At least that's how I interpret it.

That doesn't seem to be the case with this board. I understand the
instructions, vague as they are, to suggest a series loop
configuration and a "serial" homing sequence.

Once again, it appears to contradict this in the instructions, in
that they provide one pin each for "positive" limit switches and
"negative" limit switches, in addition to the pin for "home" switches.

The Homes need to be

I think I am stuck with adding a second set of positive switches for
homing.

I didn't know about your products until I read this message. I would
appreciate more info about the powered breakout board. I had some
trouble accessing the information about it on your website and got an
error message when I tried to view the PDF manual. A handheld jogging
control would be of interest, as well. You can e-mail me at
