I just don't understand all the self destructing - I ran Windows 3.1 for
about 4-5 years, then
have been using Win 95 for about 3 years (I'm a confirmed late adopter
for software).
I have only lost my Win 95 system once, and that was when I pulled a
digital camera
flash memory card out of my system while it was running. It was on the
"B" IDE port,
and the disk was on the "A" IDE, but it trashed a whole bunch of DLLs,
and Windows
was a total wreck. I had a 1 week old backup, and data files could
still be read, so
I backed them up and reloaded Windows from the backup tape. So, that
was a hardware-
induced crash.
