The G2002 used 99 74HC devices. The 74HC283 is obsolete as are other
74HC devices used, the USB circuit is "cookbook" straight from FTDI,
the board had a million headers/shunts that had to be set and the
performance was 10% of the G-Rex.
Same principle as the G-Rex but it's an obsolete execution.
I still have about 50 stuffed and tested G2000s. These are being kept
for the 1,200 74HC283s they contain as spare parts to repair G320s
years from now.
In the meantime all our mainline drives will be converted to CPLD
design by the end of the year. First up will be the G203, a CPLD
equivalent of the G201.
