I have done something similar - formula in excel to generate the axis moves.
What I did was calculate it as a flat object then use cylindrical wrapping
to exchange "A" for "Y" axis the oval shape will make it more complicated but
the same principle will work but you will have to add a "z" as the
circumference is changed in my case the circumference was a set value unlike yours so
the scale dia (scale factor) can be calculated in the plot points.
