I'm a little late to the party here but I'm wondering why you choose
EXCEL for a project like this? Seems like an interpeted language
with a good debugger would have been a bit easier to deal with. Java,
BASIC, Python and even a few old Pascal come to mind here. Plus such
code can be much easier to post and convey information over the web.
Just wondering.

In any event it already appears that you have a working solution.
Which is in the end what we are after. It would be interesting to
have a picture of the part so that we can better understand the feature.
