Misc Programs

Quite some time ago I got a full blown legal program set from Dan
Hudgins including his video for DanCad 2D, 3D, DanCam and etc. I
got the 4 spiral bound manuals too. Never used them and wonder
if these programs are still worth anything? I did use DanCad 2D
for awhile and found it rather easy to use and understand.
Anybody know if Dan is going to support this program set anytime
soon. His webpage still isn't much.

Two other programs were public shareware called CAMS-NC and APT.
Anybody still using these for something?

Another program that I got with a CNC XY table was called MINC
and was sold/provided by Digital Systems Corp in Monroeville PA.
It came with a program called ECAD which was supposed to build a
G-code list from a CAD on-screen drawing. At the time, the
concept was interesting, since changing a 2-D drawing into a set
of G-code instructions, which could be tested promised to be a
timesaver. Anyone ever used this stuff? Is it still worthwhile
enough to fiddle with for a home hobbyist?
