DeWalt Trim Router on speed control

Hi to the list,

I got a 1 line reply from Dart:

This is an ac motor not dc. Look at the 55AC10 control.

(with 9 line of "The information in this communication...") but I'm not
complaining! At least I know something now.

I suspect it's the inductance thing.

DeWalt, on the other hand, had the opposite response (one line also):

"You can use any of the router after market external speed controllers with
this unit."
