I had a similar experience to many, we were looking for CAM for a
sodick wire eroder, one thing the sodick needs is quotations marks
around every line, a simple thing to add to a conventional post
processsor. I asked them about it and over and over was told that it
wasn't a problem and that we should just buy the software and THEN
they would sort it out. Despite the fact I told them in every email
it was for a wire EDM it took me to point out to them that the post
style editing they did have in the latest version of Bobcad did not
apply to wire.
Glad I didn't "just buy it". If there is one thing that turns me or
infact any other engineer off is the hard sell, we just want to know
what the software does, if it doesn't do anything very well then go
off and improve it rather than create a smoke screen of BS around it.
