Bill,
Are we here to help newbies build machines or what???
Ron makes a statement that "NO metalworking machine can duplicate
itself."
I find that false and not only use examples to back up my stance, but
also bring the subject back to HOME SHOP cnc...
Ron responds with a couple OT condescending and red herring replies
(prodding Chris to do likewise), and suddenly the SUBJECT is off
topic?!?!?
I didn't realise we all had to agree with Ron's blanket--and narrow-
mindedly(or just narrow-experienced) false-- statements to be useful
here.
Anyone can read the thread for themselves, and decide...
Go ahead and moderate me, ban me, whatever. You've got the foxes
guarding the henhouse...
I've got a group with nearly 4000 members who don't have to put up
with over-moderation: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/DIY-CNC
Last Time it was Krytox grease on leadscrews that was OT here (I
STILL don't understand THAT one!); now it seems that advising folks
that larger more accurate machines ARE able to be made from lower
quality, smaller types IN THE HOME SHOP is verboten. Along with
disputing that a BP mill can make its own table...
But condescending replies and personal attacks with no relevence to
CCED whatsoever are fine?!?
Whatever. As Brian's sig states, CUL.
Ballendo
P.S. Maybe if my Wood duck was the group picture, I could get away
with flaming too!?
