I hope this DOES come on-topic.

I could really like to have a video microscope in my shop to look at
small drills and PCB traces and such.

Once you have the basics, the rest start to get on the wish-list.

I used a laser micrometer in a lab one. just hold the drill bit in the
light curtain and it reported the diameter of the round shaft to 4
decimal places. really cool.

Targeting sights to line up parts ? part inspection ? lots of uses
for a video in the shop.
