I will join the fray that says to get a new motor from Dan at Camtronics
http://www.seanet.com/~dmauch/
Here is his NEMA 23 listing from on his products page.
Part Number Leads Holding Torque Amperage Price
23-019 8 75 oz in .7 $55
23-020 8 73 1.5 $55
23-032 8 126 1.36 $85
I would personally go with the 126 in/oz unit, but then again I am know for
always wanting more power!
While I was looking at Dan's site for the motors I noticed the following:
NEW! SINK- ELECTRICAL DISCHARGE MACHINING.
Plans for this beatifully done Computer Controlled SEDM machine are now
available. The plans are the best I have seen to date. Camtronics is
delighted to be the distributor of these plans. The manual contains 80
pages of drawings, pictures, theory, and instructions on building an S-EDM.
Check out the pictures in the image section of this web page. Look for the
prcing and additional information about the CNC S-EDM in our products
section.
OK Dan, tell us more about it.
