Fred
On my Sherline stepper retrofits I get about 65 ipm max and I typically run
them at 30 to 50 ipm depending on gib adjustment.
On my light machine with stepper retrofit I can get just over 300 ipm
With the Light machine driver on a Sherline I can get in excess of 150
ipm.... I wouldn't expect the Sherline to survive very long at those
feedrates.
On my EMCO Compact 8 stepper retrofit I get about 40 ipm
On the EMCO F1 Mill and Compact 5 Lathe stepper retrofits I get about 50
ipm.
