This not a Gerstner box.
There are some reasonable and some poor clones of the Gerstner boxes,
I have the real thing and some clones bought at Costco.
The real thing is distinctly nicer than the clones in many ways:
detailing, finish, wood quality.
But I've given the clones as gifts (cheap me) and they are very well
received. IMO the clones are well worth the price, but be sure to
look them over before you buy, the quality control is not
consistent. The bad ones I return to Costco. They usually have them
around November/December.
This box will make a nice home for your lathe tools, micrometers and
other gages. The machinery's Handbook fits nicely in the center
drawer.
BTW, you can make much better wood joints with CNC, both the
conventional finger joint and dovetails. A horizontal CNC mill will
zip right through them.
