In the order of 10:1 no the 2.57:1 that I have now.

Maybe you need a bigger gear and not a higher ratio.

Les Watts ran a software simuilation for me and showed that I would be
best off using something around 3:1 and not the 10:1 that I had
assumed would be better.

Seems the 10:1 actually added too much in one area while offering
power in another that would never be used.
