A good source of V shaped cutters are the needles out of diesel injectors.
These come in all shapes and sizes and are usually given away free at the
diesel repair shops as they fit new ones in sooner than recon these.
Just grind to the halfway mark at the tip to make a 'D' bit and these will
cut very well.
They are very hard without being brittle. They make good centre punches and
also good test points for picking up centres or lining up duties.
