Actually, the ones I have found are almost clones of each other.
seems the basic circuit is sound and the different manufacturers just
copied one another.

The settings are simple as well. the feedback is in the power lines,
so it is not an external sensor. there is a pot for max current that
you can adjust for the motor you want to use with it.

Pretty darn simple. all you need is a DPDT relay to reverse direction
and you are off to the races.

A 3 step pulley and you get 0-5,000 RPM as the low speeds, some 1,000
to 10,000 as the middle speeds and then your 15,000 RPM for the top
end, if the bearings in your headstock can take it.

The Proxxon is a much better alternative if you want over 10,000 RPM,
but the treadmill motors are quiet compared to a Dremel or router.

Not quite sure why they make those high speed motors so darn noisy !
