Motor Circuit

Hello to all,
I have a simple motor control circuit that "senses" the load
and compensates for it. My friend Bill found this circuit in a
book he has and I thank him. I think it may be usable for a
slower spindle on a cnc machine if the circuitry is "upgraded"
to more power tolerant specs. I wanted to ask the opinions of
those who are good with this kind of thing.
A simple gif file of the schematic is here....

A full zip (3.3Mb) with everything is here....

If anyone has the time to look I'd greatly appreciate it.
It could be very useful, I do believe.
I'm posting this on the DIY-CNC site also
