Oh yeah, they say that the IC is as low as $24 in OEM quantities (which
could be anything from about 1k up to 100k or more) on their website.
It doesn't look like the PCI board has that chip, unless either the
board only supports one axis (doubtful), or there's a version of the
chip that supports multiple axes. I'm assuming that chip or something
like it is the one under the PMD sticker on the board.
