Its getting close to time for Cabin Fever Expo, and I think we are going
to have a bigger than ever show of CNC activity. For several years a few
guys have been bringing CNC exhibits, but this year we expect several more.
I talked to Gary Schoenly, the show promoter, and he is very willing to
provide us with dedicted table space and enough power drops. I will be
doing a seminar on my recent Jet Knee mill conversion, and there is room
for at least a couple more speakers to do seminars. I understand the
Ric-o-Matic will be there.
Please note this area is for EXHIBITORS- an exhibitor is a hobby guy
just showing off his work. You can, of course, talk about the products
you use, but if you have product to sell you are a VENDOR. VENDORS can
have a space, along with guys like PMDX, IMServ, and a couple others,
but you must pay for vendor space. To arrange vendor space or a speaker
slot, contact Gary directly at 800/789-5068
Cabin Fever is a great show- several hundred exhibitors of the most
amazing range of models. There is a big pond for steamboat models, a big
Gscale model RR, space to run aircraft engines (like a 1/5 scale Merlin,
12 cylinder) and air lines for running steam engines. There are a LOT of
vendor with good buys on tools, machines, books, plans, etc.
There is a consignment area where exhibitors may leave items to sell-
there is a small commission, but it keeps the exhibit tables from
becoming a flea market.
Friday, Jan 19 is set up day, and the big Auction- several hundred items
of both models and machinery. The show is open to the public Saturday
and Sunday.

Hope to see you there!
