I'm not really a machinist by trade, but my understanding of the objective
is to program the G-Code so the machine does automatically what you would
otherwise do manually, as much as possible. Once you become familiar with
what each of the different codes does it will become obvious that is what it
was designed for. You can still use trial and error when writing G Code.
