Mike,
I use a program called PG Offline which reads the Yahoo graoups just
like a news reader.
I regularly read about 12 groups and in a morning I open PG Offline
up, which automatically downloads any new posts whilst i make a coffee.
Then if I want I can go offline like if you are on dial up and read
the posts at leisure, reply to all you want to and then go on line to
send these.
The posts are numbered and you can go back to #1 if needed or search
by subject, name date or keyword.

You can also export all the posts to a folder to be saved or even to
be installed on another computer.
It makes reading yahoo groups very easy.
