Me and my thoughts today...

If you can't get a cam profile from the original engine, there are a
lot of good examples to be found in the real world. Every engine
from Harley to Honda to GM and back uses a camshaft. You can always
find a profile close to what you want and copy it (unless there is a
design patent or copyright, then small changes will still invalidate
that protection and permission from the owner in writing solves all problems.)
