Hello,
I'm in process to do myself, all I can do, cnc router for a low cost .

I wish to do a Cnc Router as fast, accurate as I can get.
I have attached some sketches and specifications in web format.
You will see there what I have in mind.
I plan to do a scale plan on AutoCAD of this.
But first it is essential for me to have a good specification for each
component.
My problem is this.
There are a lot of questions and formulas to find the good servo motor
sizing, ball screw's dimension, ...
what will be the torque, the pitch, the speed,...etc...
How to solve the mysteries of Computer Numerical Control :-)
It is frustrating to me.
The hardiest material I expect to work with this Cnc router is aluminum.
That gives 1.56 oz/in cube of density.

Lot of my project needs larger pieces and not only in aluminum, but also
wood, plastic, and soft material...

I found this spec. can be very good for my project:
SPECIFICATIONS
Z-Axis Travel (T) 20"
Max load 10 lb
Ball screw and double linear bearing 20" of travel
Y-Axis Travel (T) 4' on table
Max load ??
Ball screw and double linear bearing 4' of travel
X-Axis Travel (T) 8'
Ball screw and double linear bearing 8' of travel
Max load ??
Repeatability 0.0004"
Accuracy 0.003 /12"
Maximum Z-Axis Load 75 lbs
Rapid Load 700 in I min
Cutting Speed Depend of material 400 in I min
Resolution 0.0002'
Table Flatness 0.008' /12"
Thrust Force at low speed Servo motor 250 lb

After I have completed my scale plan, I will try to find this major
component, therefor if you have some to sale send me a message.

I tried to read all the design notes I found, it is interesting but that
takes a long time.
My budget is low. I believe it will be a good investment for us.

Thank you for your time!

Wilfrid Blais
