So true.
Large format CNC routers for woodworking will sometimes use the
Whole MDF sheet as the vacuum area. The underside is sealed to the
vacuum pump (regen blower type) and the entire top surface then has
a low pressure area. Works well for large pieces; but you still need
to concern yourself with sideways shifting due to cutting forces...
Since the entire top is "vacuuming", you don't have to be especially
concerned about through cuts into your MDF top; it's "sacrificial".
