Thinking about it further I think the answer is no because the
actually paper feed burst is quite short and I suspect the gantry
would be miles away from the "paper". Otherwise it would detect paper
before it was supposed to and complain. Looking back it was stupid of
me not to record the movements before concluding it didn't move much
because JUST two roller rotations is JUST 4"!
