Xylotex is a good choice. Geko I think that' better.
In fact is using A3977 wich is a very good stepper driver :
Have a look generaly at :

another version with smaller pcb and some smd's
http://www.dioda.ro/Content/pid=8.html (it could be done easy using
toner transfer method).
Your problem is that 1,9Nm motors probably will require more than 2.5
A / winding for low inductance and A3977 is out of question.
