Re: [CAD_CAM_EDM_DRO] 3D Printer - Available Printers

The DeskJet 500 may be a reasonable choice. This era or printers used stepper motors (at least in the paper axis dimension) and may be easier to interface. The drop size is relatively large compared to recent printers (perhaps 150pL vs 15pl?) which may be more suitable for spraying 3d materials.

LaserJet printers are entirely unsuitable as the technology for 3D laser requires intersecting laser beams and special polymers. The laser printers just would not work for this application.

Before I make a wrong move, can someone comment on the following
printers that may be available: (1) HP 500 DeskJet B/W Printer. How
will this printer compare with those currently discussed? (2) HP
LaserJet or LaserJet4. I find that others are working with 3D Laser
Printing and are apparently using desktop printer techniques. Also, a
variety of materials can be used to build the final product. Can the
LaserJet be handled in a similar manner to the ink-jet printers?
