Weedy: look at my 3 axis servo controller and MACH3 interface.
Plug-n-go electronics with 850oz-in peak servo motors that spin up to
4000 RPM. Proper belt reduction to typical leadscrew ratios yields
some impressive torque. I am driving a full sized Gorton 10 (similar
to a Bridgport II) and it will snap a 1/2" cutter and never slow down.

We use all Gecko servos and match up the motors and power control
unit. We also use special Gecko plug-in interface cards with intergal
differential receivers and centralized fault shutdown.
