Open apology to the list

Group: I cranked off on a member that was inappropriate for the open
list. It has been both praised and condemned to me personally off
list (the proper place for personal or one-on-one interchanges). I
have removed his posts that propagated the reaction, and my response
that was way to personal. I apologize for the poor choice of venue.
We have, over the last year, expanded the focus of the group and allow
for more discussion of things like using your CNC machine after it's
built, etc. It still needs to be directly related to the home built
cnc subject. We have not changed the policy about keeping general
machining and other non-CNC related posts off the list.
I want to state again that I seek and encourage the advice of
experienced builders to help out the new guys and to continue to
answer the same questions over and over....such is the life in this
hobby. What is needed are the practical answers to real world CNC
problems. A lot is happening in a short time in the CNC world and all
of us are much busier and have less "cycles" to use for contribution.
In the future I will more quietly go about the housekeeping and do
what needs to be done to maintain the stated group focus.
For those of you that read and dream: It's a great experience
building and seeing your dreams become reality. Punching that button
on the keyboard for the first time and seeing movement (albeit the
wrong way) is a thrill that is difficult to describe. Once you have
traveled up the learning curve then repay the debt by encouraging
others to get started or to keep going.
As always, If you have comments or just want to chew on my butt do it
off-list.
Now let's get back to the bigger quest: BUILDING CNC MACHINES!!!
