Thanks to everyone who replied to my query.
In summary, it appears that presently all three stages of the CNC process are possible now
on the Linux platform, but perhaps CAM is at an early stage of development. However, it
seems that significant improvements can be expected in a matter of months.
This I take to be very good news, and suspect that many besides myself will welcome this
development.
