Hi All,
This is a followup of 'Hope This is Not Off Topic'. Just to clarify
that scanning the part was easy, and putting the 3pieces together,
Looked OK, But in fact running the Part today, gives alittle more
work then expected. They, the pieces, were scanned, using registry
marks, and were done in 3 moves,or scan's and putting them in the CAD
S/W, and lining up the grid, atributes, and size, it looked good, but
where they join, they are off as much as -0.085..+0.009 on the lines
being matched up. Huh, looked good Yesterday, to the naked eye,but
having generated the GCode found it off by this much, leaving a lump,
and a bump at the intersections. Got a real good look with a
different Program, and found this was the case, so I loaded into
trigman, and didsome editing back a few spaces, and found the line
widths,and thickness's, play a part,and also layers,and being that
the edges are slow curves, don't know why, but could be the way i put
the registry marks on the scanned page or what. So this is just a
case of overshooting the runway, both-X +X off, -Y +Y off. I got it
figured in Std Cad. Now, and saved the settings. Also made a copy of
the saved settings and put in a folder, should anything like this
come my way again. What a learning Experience this has been, and
looks Can Be Deceiving.... Thanks, Hank S.
