I bought one but haven't done anything with it yet. It's primitive but
looks to be capable of taking abuse - the first one I've seen with fuses at
the outputs. It would also be easy to repair if you let the smoke out of
it, unlike the surface mount stuff.

If you want to try one I'll make you a deal, as I will probably never get
around to fiddling with it.
