Spindle Pulse disk for threading

Hi Bill,
On the link below, I put together a page on how I added a lathe spindle
encoder to my Shoptask lathe/mill/drill.
I used an encoder wheel with 90 holes plus an index channel. This gives
me 1 degree change resolution.
You could probably do something like this for your lathe.
If you have an indexing head, you could drill hole instead of milling
the wheel like I did.
Using emc2 as the machine controller, threading works a treat.
