  Jaques,
I have a few of those, and have been running them on a Sherline lathe
and a little gantry router. Actually mine are PH266-01B (B means it has
a rear shaft, not sure what your "L" suffix is. They are rated at 83 in-
oz. The drives work fine on any of several parallel ports that I've
tried, including laptops, and are opto-isolated. The way I wire it is
to tie all the parallel port grounds together to create a "signal
ground bus", then tie the step and direction commons (minus terminals)
to this bus. The plus terminals then tie to their respective port pins
as defined by your software. The motor drive wires are color coded, and
the power input is standard AC wiring (black-hot, white-neutral, green-
ground). The drives can run in full-step or half-step mode (selectable
by dip-switches), and there are several other adjustments/settings like
current limits etc. which you'll need the manual for if you want to
mess with. Since you bought it as a package, they are probably already
set up to match your motors. I'll e-mail you the manual. Let me know if
you need any more help.
