I predict some interesting reactions. Driving two motors off a single
drive has never been recommended. The PID tuning will be a real
challenge with two motors. The single encoder (which is the only
option you would have with a single drive) is not the issue. Only way
to tell is to hook it up and try it. You may just end up with dualing
motors where the strongest one tries to overpower the weaker one (:-)
